Why Some Messages Cannot Be Edited

Time Limitations

• Regular messages can be edited within 48 hours after sending
• Messages older than 48 hours cannot be edited to avoid misunderstandings from edits too far from their original context
• If you need to update expired messages, we recommend sending a new message instead

Group Limitations

• Group owners can disable message editing permissions for the group
• In groups involving financial data, message editing may be restricted by group owners to avoid confusion from amount modifications

Special Cases

The following messages are not subject to the 48-hour editing time limit:

• Messages in "My Storage"
• "Marked Messages"
